This wedding holds a special place in our hearts …
When we heard that Michelle was getting married we could not have been more thrilled! It was a day we had been waiting for being that she was a dear friend of ours and one that we had known since the days of High School when we still had curfews and found ourselves riding our bikes to parties. Even back then though, we knew and believed the coined words by Rob Base that “It takes two to make a thing go right”. They were true. Still are.
Michelle and Robert found each other and are a match made in heaven! They both are fiercely loyal and energetic people who share an admiration and love for one another and their dog Lola. These partners have serious style. Michelle works for a highly esteemed fashion and culture magazine, Paper Mag based out of New York. Robert owns the clothing company BRJ which Michelle also works for. Timeless handsome classics with a modern twist is how By Robert James is described, and his company was a major inspiration for this duo’s western inspired special day.
Little fabric bow ties were created for the escort cards by Robert’s very own tailor. Michelle and I worked as a team to then adhere them to the escort cards which transformed the cards into little suits with pocket watches. The time of the pocket watch correlated with the darling table numbers that Peanut Press created. The little bow ties made a reappearance on the centerpieces created by Twigg Botanicals. Lace delicately wrapped around candle votives adding just the right amount of romance to this western affair. A pallet of denim blue and soft creams set the tone for the event.
Guests found their thrill with the specialty drink Blueberry Hill made just for the event as well as the burlap bags of root beer barrels that favored the guests at each place setting. The root beer served as a pre-cursor for the root beer float station that followed later in the evening. Guests spoiled themselves with an array of pies, cookies, and cheese cakes that were all tried and true. Darling silhouettes were created to resemble the bride and groom by Peanut Press as well as other paper elements that helped make the celebration one of a kind.
We could not be happier for Michelle and Robert and feel so very blessed to have been able to help a couple so dear to our hearts create the perfect wedding. Many thanks to Keith Calrsen Photography for the photos.
