Our hearts are still fluttering over Susan + Jade’s elegant, Parisian-inspired wedding featured on Ruffled and Exquisite Weddings with images by Caroline Tran! For this one we brought a Marie Antoinette theme to life by incorporating over 12 cakes, vintage cameo decor, and royal court table names with pretty paper by Brightly Designed. Soft pinks, glittery gold accents, florals by Blush Botanicals and the elaborate Westgate Hotel combined to make this one of our most opulent and detailed weddings to date!
There were endless surprises between our bride and groom! It all started when Jade and his groomsmen surprised Susan with hand written notes and a Hello Kitty inspired bouquet. Each groomsman wrote out one word that they believed described Susan and why, to go along with Jade’s special note to her as well. Needless to say, tears of joy started early that day! Susan then surprised Jade with donut shaped macarons and a sweet message that read, “I can’t wait to say I do.” Even Archie, their beloved pooch, made a special appearance at the ceremony. The next surprise from the groom to the bride was a special Hello Kitty cake from Sweet & Saucy with a love note that read, “For the sweetest thing in my life.” Susan followed that up by surprising Jade with a Ratatouille/Despicable Me cake by Hey There Cupcake before Jade and his groomsmen joined in on a special choreographed dance on the custom dance floor. Jade topped off the night by taking Susan to the terrance and surprising her with a Loy Krathong ceremony as a tribute to her Thai heritage. Each of the floating fabric floral boats were constructed by the groomsmen and released by guests in the fountain along with well-wishes for the couple. By far this was the most surprises we have seen to date from our sweet couples but it is of course another evidence of just how much they love each other and how thoughtful they are! Knowing them is knowing they will have a wonderful marriage together. We wish them many years of fun surprises and all the cake they can eat!
