Every journey begins with the first step, and our beautiful couple has been chasing romance together ever since they crossed paths with fate (and each other!) while out on a walk. We had so much fun bringing Laurel and Wes’s fun-loving personalities into their wedding design while highlighting one of their greatest passions: Running!

We mixed modern, romantic details with a bright and bold color palette at every turn. The prettiest pops of coral and citrus brought the perfect amount of playfulness to the day, especially in the florals – dahlias, peonies, poppies and bougainvillea made a statement all throughout the ceremony and reception spaces. Lemons and floating flowers filled the fountain in the main courtyard, while terracotta pots overflowing with textured blooms were hung on a custom ceremony arch draped with beautiful macramé.

Highlighting their favorite pastime, shoelaces were woven into the day with custom table numbers and as escort cards, which were displayed in front of an artistic backdrop reading “I run to you”. Once guests were at their tables, they found their names written in beautiful calligraphy on ceramic grey plates, surrounded by gold-rimmed glassware and dainty blush goblets. Metallic flatware and candle votives paired perfectly with bright, geometric linens and floral centerpieces bursting with color.

Guests stayed hydrated with delicious aqua frescas and signature cocktails, warming up with jalapeno heart racers and cooling down with mint and cucumber coolers.  At the dessert display, everyone was reminded to pace themselves when choosing what to devour, from 10k carrot cakes to stretch-it-out s’mores.

After a vibrant night full of celebrating love and dancing under the stars, loved ones left with their own pair of colorful shoelaces and favor cards that read “You make my heart race”.  Many thanks to Brandon Kidd Photography who captured all the gorgeous photos of our Laurel and Wes and the details from their day!
